Piture any of these scenarios

• You're eating some hot wings and watching YouTube video on the computer, when you need to rewind and pause the video, but don't want to get your keyboard or mouse dirty.
• You have a certain habit, lets say scratching your head when working on something, but you often forget to save your work.
• You want to know what the next direction is on Google Maps but you can't swipe your phone screen without reaching over in an unsafe manner.

Although for this project, I have focused on a video utilization aspect where a user can take a screenshot, raise or lower the volume, play or pause, and fast forward or rewind the video. The success has shown that these things can easily be done and implemented, opening the door to the possibilities of gesture control for multiple areas.

Voice Command

We all know the usefulness of voice activated virtual assistants such as an amazon echo or google home. Both devices however won't help you much when you're on your computer. In this project, we will code out a voice command that can do a variety of things on your computer, such as:

Regarding the Browser	General Tasks
Open a website on the current or new tab	Raise or Lower the volume by said amount
Minimize or Maximize the window	Take a screenshot
Close the current or last tab	Open League of Legends

Moving Average Strategy

When it comes to trading stocks, a lot of people have their own ways and ideas on how to "beat the market". Methods can vary from person to person as well as on their risk tolerance. Some people say to just buy and hold a stock for long run, while others try to come up with ways to maximize their profits by trying to "Buy Low and Sell High".

A common and well known strategy is to use the Moving Average to your advantge. The "Moving Average" strat is simply to sell when the stock price hits or falls below the moving average line, and buy when it goes above.

This short project focuses on testing how well this strategy works. By passing a stock ticker, start and end date, starting balance, and days for the moving average, you will be able to compare how much you would have made with the moving average VS just buying and holding the stock.

Heart Disease Prediction

We (Thomaz, Jen, Bassa, Catherine) are public health researchers (fake scenario) and have been tasked with identifying and understanding predictors of CVD in patient populations located in high-income countries. Our employer, a group of medical professionals, is concerned with high CVD mortality among their patient population and seeks to identify better screening methods for CVD. Therefore, our goal is to identify the predictors most correlated with CVD; this will aid medical professionals in optimizing their CVD screening algorithms.

Ames, IA Housing Prediction

This project will explore the Ames, Ia dataset found on the kaggle competition hosted by my school. Our goal is to make at least one prediciton on the Kaggle competition, as well as answer our problem statement. Although only 15 students, I still managed to get in a very close first place position and feel as though I am confident enough to answer my problem statement of helping Bob make a good model as well as providing adivce as I had even helped some classmates improve their scores.

Predicting The Subreddit

Can you create a model that will be able to differentiate posts from the subreddit r/TheOnion compared to posts from r/News? Having an entire subreddit with countless people on r/AteTheOnion, shows that either people are not checking their sources, tend to believe satirical news easily based on their own preconcieved notions/beliefs, or that satirical news are infact not being facetious but perhaps to close to being "real news" and in fact pose a bigger problem at spreading misinformation to people. By creating a model that can successfully tell the difference between the two subreddits, especially a model using a bag of words approach, will show whether or not people just believe what they want to, or if it actually is getting too hard to tell the difference between real and satirical news.

SAT Analysis

The worry the Universities have comes from recieving a lot of complaints about students who believe that they are qualified to attend the Universities, and the main difference between those accepted and them is the SAT score. While my team will has multiple angles to attack this problem from, I will have to report to my supervisors my findings about wealth and score as well as suggestions for any findings that stick out and can or need to be changed.

Conclusions

The wealthiest group almost always had the highest Test Taker population, they also ALWAYS scored the highest throughout the entire 2005 - 2015 year period (The entire length of time the SAT was out of 2400). What the data analysis shows is that wealth is in fact correlated to the test scores. Not only because of advantages such as the William Singer case above, but most likely because of ability to acquire necessary materials and resources to study and prepare for the test.
